Dear all PARS Workshop Repairers,
TRACK & TRACE PARTS TRADE DISCOUNT IMPOSED BY INSURANCE &
ADJUSTER COMPANIES
Refer to the matter above.
Please be informed that during the meeting on 1st September 2010 with representatives from
Bank Negara, PIAM, MTC, AMLA, FAWOAM and MRC, it has come to an understanding that
the impose of the spare parts trade discount from 25% to 30% is unreasonable and all parties are
required to abide the ruling to stop such practices with effective date starting from 1st December
2010.
Therefore, if any insurance and adjuster company is still imposing spare parts trade discount
from 25% to 30% on the claim approval report after 6th December 2010, PARS workshop
repairers are welcomed to inform FAWOAM by just filling up a simple form (No document
supports is required!) and submit the form to FAWOAM via fawoam@gmail.com

Your full cooperation on this matter will assist and support the goal of “Moving Forward to a
Better Motor Insurance Claim Repair Industry” to achieve a healthy transparency insurance
claim repair industry practices.
