REVISED WINDSCREEN CLAIM PROCEDURES
We would like to draw your attention to the current windscreen claims development where we are experiencing an alarming increasing trend of windscreen repairs being made at our non panel workshops.
We have noted that 65% of the windscreen claims lodged with the company is repaired at the non panel workshops.
This trend has resulted in a corresponding spiraling increase in our windscreen claims and as a result of this alarming loss trend; management has decided to take the necessary pre-emptive measures to curb these unhealthy trend.
With immediate effect, if the policyholder chooses to have their windscreen repairs conducted at the non panel workshops, it would be a claim requirement for the policyholder to submit a POLICE REPORT on the incident.
However, if the policyholders so chooses our panel workshops to repair their damaged windscreen, this requirement will be waived and the policyholder DO NOT need to pay out of his/her pocket for the repair works. The workshop will make the claim to us and we shall reimburse to the panel workshops.
Please be advised accordingly and this procedure will take effect from 01/01/2011.
