MAZIAH of Ampang is disappointed with Bank Kerjayasama Rakyat for not letting her keep her car ownership registration card.
"I bought a new Perodua Myvi 1.3 on Sept 28, 2008, and had obtained a car loan from the Bank Kerjasama Rakyat branch in Jalan Ipoh, Kuala Lumpur," she says.
"For the past two years, whenever I renewed the car insurance and road tax, I had to go to the bank to get my vehicle registration card."
MAZIAH says when she requested the bank to let her keep the vehicle registration card, they refused.
"I believe there is a provision in the law that the vehicle owner gets to keep the registration card and not the financier, so what the bank is doing is not right."
● A SPOKESMAN for Bank Kerjasama Rakyat Malaysia Berhad says: "We thank MAZIAH for her feedback about our customer service. We sincerely apologise for what happened and regret any inconvenience to MAZIAH.
"Our Jalan Ipoh branch has contacted her to inform that the vehicle registration card will be handed to her when she submits an application for it in writing. MAZIAH has agreed to this."
